Playwright Ben Bartolone on the experience:
"The concept of having the U.S. National Debt paid is one that lets people imagine the great 'what if?' in the American Dream. I thought the story of a trust fund playboy given the impossible task of reducing it to zero sounded like a fun premise. Little did I know the minefield into which I was stepping.
We've been running this play reading series to present works that people that represent our actual nation, and I find it's important to stress the important role the super-rich play within our system.
Through this incredible team we've been able to assemble, and with the sharp mind of Director Frankie J. Alvarez,
I'm excited to show what we, as Americans, are capable of accomplishing, and the spectrum of tribe mentalities that lie in wait within every single one of us."
