New Yorkers for Parks and the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) will host "B-Ball Free for All" to provide free basketball clinics and exercise programs for children and families to highlight the vital role City parks and recreation centers play in keeping New Yorkers healthy. "B-Ball Free for All" will take place at the Brownsville Recreation Center in Brooklyn and is open to the public.
Team members from the WNBA's New York Liberty and volunteers from the community will help boys and girls ages 7-13 take part in a basketball clinic, where they can learn skills and do drills. Parents and other family members are invited to take part in basketball-inspired exercise routines. The Liberty will also bring some of the excitement of Madison Square Garden to Brownsville with their Groove Truck. The Grove Truck is a mobile center that gives visitors the opportunity to participate in skill competitions, free throw and 3-point shooting contests to win prizes.Videos
