Space is still available for New York Transit Museum's Old City Hall Station Tour March 6, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
By popular demand, additional Old City Hall Station Tours will take place on Sat., March 6th at 12 pm and 2 pm. Opened in 1904, the station was the starting point of New York City's new IRT subway. It featured chandeliers, leaded skylights, a vaulted Guastavino ceiling, and decorative tile work. Our tour is the only way to see this treasure. Museum Members Only. Your kids may be out for February school vacation, but we have plenty to offer for the whole family! Each day from February 16th to 19th, we'll be leading workshops where you and your family can design an urban landscape and create a city with streets, buildings, subways, and buses, at 11 am and 2:30 pm!
