New York Shakespeare Exchange (Ross Williams, Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce that the SONNET PROJECT Android app released on Thursday, June 13. Android smart phone users can now access the SONNET PROJECT's sonnet films from their mobile devices with this release.
As part of their commitment to make Shakespeare accessible to everyone, everywhere, New York Shakespeare Exchange is filming all 154 of Shakespeare's love poems with 154 actors in 154 unique locations around the five boroughs, bringing together the classical poetry of the Bard with the urban poetry of New York City.Each short film is released on the website www.SonnetProjectNYC.com and via a SONNET PROJECT mobile app available for iPhone and iPad at the Apple App Store, and now, for Android mobile devices on Google Play.The SONNET PROJECT, which launched on Monday, May 20 at the Museum of the Moving Image, is a year-long endeavor that culminates in the release of a full SONNET PROJECT Anthology, complete with special features exploring the textual nuances of the language, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the creators and actors.Videos
