American composer/librettist Martin Halpern presents "Triptych," three one-act chamber operas freely based on classics of modern drama by August Strindberg ("The Stronger"); Henrik Ibsen ("When We Dead Awaken") and Anton Chekhov ("The Proposal"), three works that explore themes of both requited and unrequited love. From the intense psychological battles of Strindberg, to the emotional turmoil of Ibsen and the sly humor of Chekhov, Dr. Halpern's chamber operas reflect his
unique musical voice.

Featured in the cast are sopranos Judith Barnes and Nancy Loesch, mezzo-soprano Darcy Dunn; tenor Michael Boley, and baritone Vaughn Lindquist. Accompaniment is by Mr. Halpern's frequent collaborator, pianist Earl Buys.
