The Gallery at New World Stages, the two floor exhibition space at New York's preeminent home for Off-Broadway productions in the heart of the theater district, will present the art of Luke Stoffel, opening on January 20th and continuing through March 11th.
The gallery, which opened in July 2006, has already presented the works of Patrick McMullen and Francesco Scavullo.
"Luke Stoffel challenges the natural aesthetic and tradition of fine art within a digital age, merging dehumanized technological and modern graphic aspects with a variety of warm media. Each piece emerges from Stoffel's photography, and then morphs into dimensional communication that beckons touch and arouses curiosity. The recipient of the 2006 Starving Artist Award and a two-time best-selling artist at New York City's Starving Artist Ball, Stoffel has been commissioned for private collectors and galleries coast to coast. Most recently, he was selected to be the featured artist for the 2006 amfAR Rocks benefit for AIDS research" according to press notes. The Luke Stoffel Exhibition will open January 20th and continue on exhibition through March 11th. The Gallery at New World Stages will be open Monday through Saturday, from 11 AM to 6 PM. The Gallery entrance is located at 343 West 49th Street.
