New Songs by Tom Kitt Will Be Featured on USA's ROYAL PAINS Next Week

Superstar violinist Joshua Bell makes a very special guest appearance on the TV Series "Royal Pains," airing on the usa network on Wednesday, June 29.

Playing himself, Bell performs an original song by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then) in a scene with Cloris Leachman, who guest stars as a London West End diva. Also making special guest appearances are Henry Winkler and Tony winner Christine Ebersole.

This is the second to last episode of the final season of the series which stars Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty, Brooke D'Orsay, Ben Shenkman, and Campbell Scott. The episode, titled "The Good News" was written and directed by Michael Rauch (who also co-wrote the lyrics with Tom Kitt). Executive Producers: Michael Rauch and Andrew Lenchewski.

"The Good News" was conceived as a musical episode, and features 5 new Tom Kitt/Michael Rauch songs, performed by the cast, and choreographed by John Carrafa, with orchestrations by Michael Starobin.
