As they try to choose between tradition and aspiration, their country falls to the occupation of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. Families are torn apart, citizens are enslaved and the hope of an agrarian-based society quickly ignites a Cambodian genocide. Set to a contemporary rock score, the pair and their lifelong friend, Bou fight for the legacy of their country and the hope of their future.
