New Production Details Revealed for Feinstein and Edna's ALL ABOUT ME: Judge Judy to Make Cameo

The New York Post has revealed new production details about Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna's ALL ABOUT ME.  Show details have, to date, been largely kept on the down low.  

Writes the New York Post: "B'WAY'S incoming Dame Edna and Mi chael Feinstein musical, shrouded in hush-hush secrecy, is from now on less hush-hush. Its title [ALL ABOUT ME], is because half will be about female impersonator Dame Edna, half about cabaret star King Michael. Even the Playbills will be half/half. Half will feature one of them, saying, 'This show is all about me,' while the other half features the other half saying, 'This show is all about me!' Their differences, samenesses and who is which and what one is who gets adjudicated by Judge Judy, who will be present in a pretaped video."

As previously reported, Broadway vet Casey Nicholaw, will replace Jerry Zaks at the helm ofALL ABOUT ME, beginning performances at Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd St.) on Friday, February 19, 2010 and opening on Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Jerry Zaks had been attached to the project, but, as previously reported, stepped down as director to serve as head creative consultant on THE ADDAMS FAMILY project this spring.

Dame Edna Everage (Barry Humphries), housewife, megastar, investigative journalist, social anthropologist, children's book illustrator, diseuse, chanteuse, swami, monstre sacré, polymath, adviser to British royalty, grief counsellor, spin doctor and icon has had a career that spans nearly 50 years. She has starred in such shows as Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance and Dame Edna: The Royal Tour, for which he won the Drama Desk award for Outstanding Solo Performance and received a Special Tony Award for Live Theatrical Presentation. Her books include Dame Edna's Coffee Table Book, Dame Edna's Bedside Companion, Lost Monasteries of Bulgaria, her autobiography My Gorgeous Life and her new book (in the pipeline) Love Your Husband's Prostate.
