Written by Kim Snyder, Dying to Live, a powerful modern female-driven play that explores the controversial assisted death will receive an invitation-only staged reading on Monday, July 23rd, at 7PM in the Music Hall at the Dramatists Guild Foundation.
Dying to Live unfolds what happens to the lives and relationships of a family of five women when faced with the eldest daughter Rose Larvie's choice to end her life with assisted suicide due to terminal brain cancer. This decision shakes the family's belief system, tearing them apart to bring them back together. With passion and humor, the family must make an emotional decision between suffering and peace.
The reading features an all-female cast and creative team. Directed by Allison Adler, produced by Yue Liu, this 90-minute reading features five actresses Mary Anisi*, Lexie Braverman*, Janet Conroy-Quirk, Lisa Rabinowicz, and Christine Verleny.
