The WorkShop Theater Company will present Never Missed a Day, a new tragicomedy written by Ken Jaworowski and directed by Thomas Cote (The Devil and Billy Markham).

The production previews Friday, December 1st at 8 pm, Saturday, December 2nd at 8 pm and opens on Monday, December 4th at 8 pm.  Performances continue Wednesday through Saturday at 8 pm through December 16th, with an additional performance on Monday, December 11th at 8 pm.

In the play, "a group of coworkers throws a retirement party for the office legend. In between toasting their hero and telling their tales, the men unexpectedly find their dark secrets coming to light.  Deuce, everyone's favorite co-worker, is retiring after 43 years with the company. As his officemates arrive at his send-off party, they joke, reminisce and tell their stories while they await the coming of their feared boss, the Bowtie.  At the party, Deuce looks back on his career and is left to decide whether to make a final stand against the tyrannical Bowtie, or retire in peace, taking with him a gold watch and the secrets he has kept hidden for years," state press notes.

"In the traditions of Arthur Miller and David Mamet, playwright Ken Jaworowski has fashioned a tragicomedy that explores the dreams and the disappointments behind life in the corporate world."

Featured in the cast of Never Missed a Day are Jed Dickson, Brian Homer, Michael Shelle, Bill Tatum and Shade Vaughn.  The show will features lighting by Evan Purcell, sets by Amy Vlastelica, sound by David Schulder and costumes by Joanie Schumacher.

Jaworowski is a staff editor for The New York Times. His series of one-person plays, Certain Souls, was previously presented at the WorkShop Theater Company under his pen name, Ken Javie. One of those plays, Never Smile, Never Wave, was recently produced in London by the Unrestricted View Theater Company. He has published numerous short stories in various magazines and periodically writes for the Business Day section of the Times.
