New Play 50th & 4th To Premiere At Frigid New York Theatre Festival  Image

FRIGID New York announced 50th & 4th, a new play written by Mike Lemme and directed by Tara Cioletti, will debut at the 2018 Frigid Festival as a limited engagement for five performances in the UNDER St. Marks Theater. Tickets are $20 and available now at MikeLemme.com

50th & 4th follows Rick and Sue, a married couple in Brooklyn, as they rent their spare bedroom online. Inspired by Lemme's first roommates in New York, 50th is a tribute to everyone who brought you to the city and the new kind of family you create when you're here. The play features Gloria Lamoureux (Perry Award Winner), Emil Ferzola and Kirsten Dwyer. Tara Cioletti (Perry Award Winner) directs.

Tara Cioletti is a New Jersey based actor and director, who recently graduated the Drama Centre London MA Acting Program, which includes a semester of study in Moscow at the Boris Shchukin institute. Cioletti directed the staged reading of 1984 for Hudson Theatre Works and was the assistant director for their production of Macbeth. Notable acting credits include Stars in the Morning Sky (Drama Centre London), Bash (Hudson Theatre Works), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (NJ Perry Award Best Lead Actress) and the films Rubber Ducky and Meme, both in post production. Mike Lemme is a comedian and writer based in Brooklyn. In 2016, Lemme turned his acclaimed 15 night residency at the UNDER St. Marks Theater into his first stand-up film, Help Wanted. In 2018, Lemme will return to UNDER St. Marks to debut his first play, 50th & 4th. A former intern for Jimmy Fallon and Conan O'Brien, Lemme has warmed- up studio audiences for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and wrote for Second City. MikeLemme.com

Gloria Lamoureux was last seen in Macbeth with Hudson Theatre Works, other credits include: (NYC) Abington Theater, and Hudson Guild Theatre; (Regional) Bickford Theatre, Centenary Stage (CSC), Alliance Repertory, Garage Theatre, Luna Stage and Holmdel Theatre Company. Favorite roles include the title characters in Shirley Valentine (NJACT best actress) and in Becky's New Car, Margie Walsh in Good People, and Lady Croom in Arcadia. Film work includes feature film, Nothing Serious, and interactive game Daemon_9. Gloria is a member of The Forge (HTW), The Complete Theatre Company and Women Playwrights Series at CSC. Gloria has an MA in Theater from Montclair State University.

Kirsten Dwyer's latest stage roles include Chloe in Anne L. Thompson's "Touch Not My Heart," Fanny Cerrito in Margery Fairchild's "Pas de Quatre," Ophelia in Rachel Luann Strayer's "Drowning Ophelia," she can also be seen as Jessy in the original web-series "Don't Call it Frisco." Hailing from San Francisco, where she apprenticed with foolsFURY Theatre after graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz, Kirsten is delighted to be a part of "50th & 4th" and the 2018 Frigid Festival.

Emil Ferzola studied at the Herbert Berghof studios under the elite tutelage of John Monteith and Michael Beckett. As John Lennon said "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans" and so Emil returned late in life to his greatest love. During a career that has only spanned 3 years, Emil has appeared in over 25 shorts and features including Pickings this March in AMC theaters and played Jimmy Hoffa in History Detectives on PBS. On the stage, Emil played in Arsenic and Old Lace, and Kurt Vonnegut's "Happy Birthday Wanda June" in the role of Looseleaf including a few less auspicious endeavors. Emil returns to the stage with joy in 50th & 4th. Said Emil, "I love the stage because its the challenge of bearing ALL in the very moment, no extra takes or cuts. The truest form of acting in which we show warts and all."

FRIGID NEW YORK is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. FRIGID New York grew out of the annual FRIGID Festival, the first and only festival of its kind in New York City to offer artists 100% of their box office proceeds, and Horse Trade Theater Group, a self-sustaining theater development and management group.
