A new musical web series is underway. "In Retrospect" is a musical comedy web series featuring Dennis and Rita, a couple in marriage counseling, as they rediscover each other in an effort to save their crumbling marriage.

Episodes are released on Thursdays at noon on their website at www.inretrospectweb.com, with a season one finale slated for Thursday, December 10, 2015. For more information on the series, follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter at @inretrospectweb.

Each episode begins with Dennis (Frank Leone) and Rita (Rachel Bahler) as they begin their therapy session with Dr. Fillasho (Shannon Krowicki). The common denominator between the couple is that they wish they could return to the past and change the way in which they met. This then launches them into a dream-sequence musical number, in which they re-imagine their first meeting in a different way.

The setting, character, song, dance, and style of music in each potential prequel will vary as dynamically as the circumstances. Over the course of their nine-week therapy stint, they must unearth their true selves, their past, and their desires, if they are to envision a future together.

Wayne State University alumnus Frank Leone (Dennis, Wayne State University Class of '08) is producing, writing, songwriting, and acting in this musical romantic comedy. His stage and screen credits span New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit. He most recently acted as Assistant Director to Kevin Edwin Green for the trailer for the film Cherry Pies, which wrapped up production in August. Amanda Jane Stern, who most recently directed and co-wrote the documentary play Coerced at Brandeis University, is taking the helm as director, with Julian Seltzer acting as her assistant director. WSU alumni, Candace DeLeon (Class of '06) served as the Principal Casting Director. University of Michigan alumnus Christian Schulte is Associate Producing with Alex Payne serving as Director of Photography and Thomas Zaccheo as the Production Sound Mixer. Nicholas Leone will act as Editor and Colorist on the project with Caleb Nelson as Assistant Editor.

The cast was chosen from a talented and diverse pool of New York actors, with many having Michigan roots. Leone (Dennis), who will also be acting in the series, was last seen on stage starring in the Los Angeles world premiere of Fragments of Oscar Wilde at ZJU Theatre. Rachel Bahler, (Rita) a University of Michigan Musical Theatre graduate, is currently travelling the country in the national tour of Bullets Over Broadway as the role of Eden. Shannon Krowicki, (Dr. Fillasho) a Music and Theatre graduate from the University of Miami, was featured in a production of Roots and? Wings Theatrical's 8th Annual Duct Tape and a Dream Theater Festival at Shelter Studios this past May. Erin Hildebrandt, (Shelley) a 2011 Wayne State University BFA, just closed her run with Ariadne on the Island at The Cutout Theatre this spring in Brooklyn. Ashley Ware (Reese) makes her NYC film debut after graduating from the University of Georgia. Christian Schulte (Teegan) was featured in the new Chad Burns revolutionary war drama "Beyond the Mask", and will be taking his nominated web series Dating & Auditioning to the Miami Web Fest in October.

Additionally, co-creator of NYC's SPARK Dance Forum, Martha Dobbs (Wayne State University Class of '09) will act as Chief Choreographer with additional choreography by Tuesdays @ 4 Creative Director, Whitney Bryant-Glandon. All music and lyrics are written by Leone, with arrangements and music from Pete Fernandez (Wayne Class of '10), Eli Wilson (Wayne Class of '10), and New York's Jacqui Gordon, Brooks Allison, Geoffrey Burch, and Dylan Nowik.
