New Musical BRAN CASTLE to Receive Industry Reading  Image

Entertainment industry professionals are invited to attend a private industry presentation of Bran Castle, a new musical by Donald Nolan, on Thursday, June 21 at 11AM at Ford Studio at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, between Dyer & 10th Avenues). Bran Castle is directed by Rachel Klein (Red Rose, Green Gold off-Broadway) and features musical direction by Andy Peterson (Atomic off-Broadway).

Set during the Revolution of 19th Century Europe in a world of crystal balls and castles, Bran Castleis a sweeping romantic tale of desire and peril, conflict and choices, the eternal lust of power and the quest for freedom.

Bran Castle was written and developed by Don Nolan through the workshop program at Midwest New Musicals. The work was first presented for reading in Los Angeles in August of 2014 at the Academy for New Musical Theatre and more recently was presented for a reading in Chicago as part of Porchlight Music Theater's Off the Porch new musical series. The reading in New York this month are part of the development process. A workshop is planned for New York in the fall.

The upcoming Bran Castle presentation features Yesenia Ayala (Carousel on Broadway), Tsebiyah Mishael Derry (Rocktopia on Broadway), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), PJ Griffith (American Idioton Broadway), Tamra Hayden (Les Miserables on Broadway), Luke Hoback (Henry & Mudge off-Broadway), Tara Martinez, Kevin McGuire (The Secret Garden on Broadway), Michelle Pauker,Tony Perry (Raisin at Astoria Performing Arts Center), Logan Pitts, Erik Ransom (My Big Gay Italian Wedding off-Broadway), Isabel Santiago (First Daughter Suite at The Public), Brian Sills (The Machine at Donmar Warehouse), Debbie Christine Tjong (Red Rose, Green Gold off-Broadway),and Jeff Williams (M.
