A public reading of Ain't We Got Fun will be held September 17 at 7:30 PM.  The new musical written by Jack Wrangler is based on three short stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald and features the music of Richard Whiting.

Chad Larabee will direct the reading at The York Theatre starring Kathy Fitzgerald (The Producers), Patrick Wetzel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Kevin Duda (Little Women National tour), Erin Maguire (Trailer Park, The Musical), Nathan Scherich (Thoroughly Modern Millie at Northshore) and Christy Morton (Cinderella National tour).

Ain't We Got Fun's Musical Adaptor, Arranger & Orchestrator is Michael O'Flaherty, resident musical director at Goodspeed Opera House. Rick Hip-Flores serves as music director for this reading.

"Ain't We Got Fun boasts a sparkling classic pop score whose timeless melodies musically embodied the heart and spirit of this remarkable era. Songs from the show include: 'My Ideal,' 'Breezin' Along With the Breeze,' 'You're An Old Smoothie,' and 'Beyond the Blue Horizon,'" describe press notes, "At the heart of the story is Fitzgerald's "flappers", beautiful and willful young women, the heroines of the Jazz Age who defied conventions of acceptable feminine behavior. Paired with Whiting's jazzy score, they creates a fast paced, sparkling evening; a tuneful, dramatic often outrageous and even prophetic theatrical experience."
