Michael Jacobsen, co-founder of DIRTY DANCING: THE MUSICAL is an investor in PIP'S ISLAND. The project is an animated fantasy series and the brand is bringing the PIP'S ISLAND world to life with immersive, interactive, 360-degree experiential events featuring live actors, animation and cutting edge set design.

The brainchild of sister-and-brother partnership Rania and Rami Ajami, PIP'S ISLAND is three years in the making and follows the history, mythology and adventures of a cast of charismatic characters who have one foot in our world and the other planted on a mysterious, faraway island.

This fall, the whole fantasy world will be brought to life for guided groups of children aged 4-12 with immersive events or 'expeditions'.

"We are responding to a growing demand from families in major cities across the world for high-quality, inspiring recreational opportunities by creating an original children's entertainment brand that is global in its reach and unique in its conception. PIP'S ISLAND is the future of kids' entertainment as it transcends digital and physical realms," Rami Ajami said.

An interactive first in children's entertainment, PIP'S ISLAND boasts a synthesis of live actors, multi- sensorial environments, and a compelling narrative which the audience helps shape through quests and EXPLORER challenges.

"PIP'S ISLAND is born from today's need for children to have multi-sensorial experiences that challenge their minds, spirits and bodies. It's so important for children to feel that they have control over events, not just by swiping on their iPads. PIP'S ISLAND facilitates this process by encouraging children to interact directly with actors and also empowers by allowing them to make decisions that determine the story's direction. Their journey doesn't end there either as they can continue to explore and enjoy PIP'S ISLAND as more stories unfold across the breadth of 21st century media," Rania Ajami said.

Webseries, broadcast animated series, mobile apps, games and books will be used to fully explore the rich story world using the fully developed visual language developed by the in-house animation team.
