New Image Art is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Los Angeles - New York based photographer and film maker Patrick Hoelck. "Atop The Mountain Ignoring The View" features an eclectic curation of young subjects (capitalizing on their glamor and insecurities) palms, beaches, streets and buildings. The rich subject matter creates a dialog of form and reality of California as Hoelck sees it.

The work is somewhat autobiographical though Patrick is not in the work itself there is a slice of voyeurism. The majority of the show reflect Patrick's world - a caramel colored interior studio- house and California life. His studio is on located on a winding traffic filled street in Bel Air where if you step out at the wrong hour you might be road kill. The backdrop of his studio is literally a mountain wall.

Many of the photos where taken in this environment capturing LA filled dreams and youthful embarrassments. His young subjects are trying to figure out their next move via posing and musing while the palms sway and sky changes.
