Deadline reports that Harry Connick Jr.'s new syndicated talk show HARRY premiered to decent ratings, delivering a 1.4 household rating in the metered markets and a 0.7 rating in the Women 25-54 demographic on Monday. The premiere episode, which featured Oscar winner Sandra Bullock, marked an improvement over its year-ago time periods by +27% in households and +40% in the demo.
The show's debut was 56% above that of the most recent successful syndicated talk show, The Real. In the New York market, HARRY grew 60% from it year-ago time period average to a 1.6 in households on WNYW at 4PM. The show's best first-day performance came in Fort Myers, where it scored a 5.1 at 3 PM on WINK and grew 219% over the station's year-ago average.
Other guests set to appear on the show's premiere week include Renee Zellweger, five-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams, and "Empire" star Terrence Howard. In addition, the week will feature cameos by Russell Crowe, Kristen Bell, Zooey Deschanel, Anthony Anderson, John Stamos and Taraji P. Henson.
According to the show's official description: "Harry" will bring the party to daytime, entertaining viewers with Connick's touring band and delivering laughter through a variety of comedic segments, hilarious man-on-the-street interviews, as well as audience participation, human interest stories, celebrity interviews and lots of surprises.

"Harry's Leading Ladies" will put a spotlight on those who are empowering others and making a difference in their communities. In "I Got This," Connick steps into the life of a deserving mom by taking over all of her responsibilities for the day while she goes off for some much needed pampering and relaxation.
