Shout! Broadway has announced that the New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is available for purchase at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets), beginning tonight, May 7. The merchandise stand is open to the public one hour prior to performance. Digital release will be on Tuesday, May 28. The recording will be released to national retail outlets on Tuesday, July 2.

The New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is produced by 12-time Grammy Award winner Thomas Z. Shepard, Douglas Denoff and Dennis J. Grimaldi, and features the original Broadway cast of the acclaimed new production of ANNIE, as well as bonus tracks, featuring Emmy Award-winning "Glee" star Jane Lynch, who assumes the role of Miss Hannigan on May 16 on Broadway at the Palace Theatre.

ANNIE, winner of seven 1977 Tony Awards including Best Musical, features a book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, with all three authors receiving Tony Awards for their work. The new Broadway production of ANNIE is directed by Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award-winner James Lapine and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler. The new production opened November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway, between 46th and 47thStreets), where it is currently playing.

The album was recorded on March 3, 4 and 11 at the historic Kaufman Astoria Studios. Bonus tracks were recorded on April 8 at Entourage Studios, Los Angeles. ANNIE was one of the biggest Broadway musical hits of the 1970s, running for almost six years and playing 2,377 performances. The score for ANNIE includes "Maybe," "It's the Hard Knock Life," "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," "Easy Street," "I Don't Need Anything But You" and the eternal anthem of optimism, "Tomorrow". The GRAMMY Award-winning original 1977 Broadway cast album has gone platinum, selling over one million copies to date. The current Broadway production at the Palace Theatre is a clear hit, breaking the house record at the Palace Theatre with a gross of $2.05 million for the week of Christmas, 2012.

ANNIE stars Katie Finneran as Miss Hannigan, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks and Lilla Crawford as Annie, with Brynn O'Malley as Grace Farrell, Clarke Thorell as Rooster Hannigan, and J. Elaine Marcos as Lily St. Regis. The Orphans are Madi Rae DiPietro as July, Georgi James as Pepper, Junah Jang as Tessie, Tyrah Skye Odoms as Kate, Taylor Richardson as Duffy, Emily Rosenfeld as Molly, Brooklyn Shuck as standby for Molly, Kate, Tessie, July and Duffy, Sadie Sink as standby for Annie, Tessie, Duffy, July and Kate and Jaidyn Young as standby for Annie, Pepper, Duffy and July. The production also features Ashley Blanchet, Jane Blass, Jeremy Davis, Fred Inkley, Merwin Foard, Joel Hatch, Danette Holden, Amanda Lea LaVergne, Gavin Lodge, Desi Oakley, Keven Quillon, David Rossetti, Sarah Solie, Dennis Stowe and Ryan VanDenBoom.
