From the star of Netflix's unique, four-part stand-up special, James Acaster: Repertoire. James Acaster brings to town the New York off-Broadway premiere of his brand new, stand-up show. James reflects on the best year of his life and the worst year of life and does stand-up comedy about them while throwing a strop.
James is widely recognized as one of the finest comics out of the UK: he is best known for his regular appearances on BBC's Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Would I Lie To You? He has been nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for 'Best Comedy Show' a record-breaking five times, and released the UK best-selling book, Classic Scrapes. In November he debuts Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 in London's West End, with six (already sold out) performances at the Vaudeville Theatre.
The New York Times hailed his Netflix special as, 'brainy and self-effacing, the material is precisely written and tightly constructed, with elegant moments of poetry and fantasy'.
Earlier this year, James enjoyed a run of sell-out shows in LA and New York, as well as performing on The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). He has previously performed stand-up on Conan (TBS), at Just For Laughs Montreal and at Sketchfest in 2017.
