Nellie McKay and Michael Feinstein croon classic tunes!

Boundary-breaking and internationally acclaimed recording artist, concert performer and Broadway headliner Nellie McKay is set to release a new album of cover songs in March titled MY WEEKLY READER and in promotion of the new release she joins popular song interpreter Michael Feinstein for the performance-based NPR series SONG TRAVELS.

As part of the appearance, McKay sings "Did I Remember", "All My Life", "The Nearness Of You", original compositions and more.

The official description of Nellie McKay's MY WEEKLY READER is as follows: "Noted for her critically acclaimed albums, visits to NPR and A Prairie Home Companion, as well as The Washington Post saying she ...has all the makings to be the great singer-songwriter of the century, Nellie McKay pays homage to the 60's with her new album, My Weekly Reader. From Haight Ashbury to Greenwich Village to Carnaby Street, My Weekly Reader (in collaboration with famed Beatles Engineer, Geoff Emerick) features unlikely gems from Country Joe, Moby Grape, Frank Zappa, Richard Farina, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Beatles and The Kinks. "It's important for us to be aware and not succumb to what (jazzman) Dave Frishberg has referred to as weapons of mass distraction," adds Nellie. "These songs come out of a time of less cynicism - back in the 60's the darker things in society were balanced by a certain innocence and hope."

Additionally, McKay has released a lead single from the album, "Murder In My Heart For The Judge", now available to hear.

Of note, besides starring in THE THREEPENNY OPERA on Broadway with Alan Cumming and Cyndi Lauper, McKay has recently been seen in a featured role in Off-Broadway's OLD HATS, providing musical narration to the idiosyncratic theatre piece. Also, her successful studio albums include GET AWAY FROM ME, PRETTY LITTLE HEAD, HOME SWEET MOBILE HOME and more.
