The musically versatile and vocally adept composer and lyricist behind the acclaimed cult rock musical HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH, Stephen Trask, took the stage and joined the band featured in the upcoming Broadway premiere of the piece, Tits of Clay, in a special performance this weekend and newly crowned HEDWIG headliner Neil Patrick Harris was on hand for a special set with the rock collective, as well.
Gracing the stage of the Mercury Lounge, Trask passionately launched into a bit of popular punk rock alongside the talented group who will back the titular gender-bending Hedwig - in this case, aforementioned acclaimed Broadway and Hollywood crossover star Neil Patrick Harris - when the show opens later this season, while Harris was noticeably shorn of his shirt for a showstopper or two, too.
Additionally, besides a pic of NPH, a short Vine video of the special event is now available to view, as well, offering a glance at the rock debauchery.
Of note, the premiere Broadway production of HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH is currently in rehearsals with Neil Patrick Harris set to take on the title role. Previews begin March 29, with an opening set for April 22.
