National Portrait Gallery to Host Inaugural American Portrait Gala, 11/15

This Sunday, we will honor five luminaries at our inaugural American Portrait Gala, a sold-out evening to celebrate America's icons and raise funds to establish the National Portrait Gallery's first-ever endowment for exhibitions. The honorees being recognized for their exemplary achievements are Henry "Hank" Aaron, Cpl. Kyle Carpenter, Aretha Franklin, Carolina Herrera and Maya Lin.
