Women's History Month is an annual observance in March that encourages the observance and celebration of women's role and contribution in history and contemporary society. The National Park Service will celebrate throughout the month, in observance of Women's History Month with activities at the African Burial Ground National Monument. This year's theme, "Nevertheless She Persisted" highlights women fighting all forms of discrimination against women.
