National Black Chamber of Commerce to Host 21st Annual Convention in Palm Beach with Fashion Showcase Debut

The National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) will present Innovation: Growth, Profit, & Prosperity, its 21 st annual convention, from July 24-26 at the Four Seasons Resort, 2800 South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach, FL. Open to all audiences, the convention will convene special celebrity invitees, distinguished guest moderators, business owners and NBCC members to discuss the complexities of business regulations, marketing solutions for small business, international trade, business procurement, the business of fashion and many more topics related to growth and prosperity in American business.

Fashion mogul J. Alexander Martin, co-founder, EVP, and creative director of FUBU and founder of lifestyle branding company and blog Afashionmind, will kick off the convention with an evening reception beginning at 7 p.m. Additional distinguished guests will be featured as moderators throughout the convention panels including business leaders William Kovacs, Senior Vice President Regulatory Affairs, US Chamber of Commerce; Rip Mason, Chief Executive Officer and Director, LegalShield; Dr. Sara Watson, Executive Vice President, America's Promise Alliance and Director, ReadyNation; Gary McCollum, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cox Communications Virginia; Kahlil Byrd, President, Students First; Michael M. Carter, President and Founder, Biz Equity; and James Rosseau, Allstate, President, Affinity Solutions. Special celebrity guests will be present at the welcome reception, couture house presentation, and on paneled discussions that are to be determined. Names will be released at a later date.

The first ever Couture House NBCC, a uniquely sophisticated runway fashion show, will debut at the convention on Thursday, July 25 th. The Couture House is a platform initiated by the NBCC for fashion entrepreneurs to exhibit designs and innovative products to potential investors, international distributers, fashion executives, and consumers simultaneously. The Couture House NBCC fashion event will also feature non-apparel products in its Couture House Boutique onsite.
