The National Alliance for Musical Theatre kicks off their Fall Events week with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to be held on Monday, October 22nd at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street) celebrating the 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals. The benefit gala will honor Marleen & Kenny Alhadeff and New World Stages. The gala performance will be directed by Amy Corcoran with music direction by Ian Eisendrath and orchestrations by Rona Siddiqui.

Performers include Tamika Lawrence (Broadway: Getting The Band Back Together, Come From Away), Ahmad Maksoud (Broadway: The Band's Visit), Krysta Rodriguez (Broadway: Spring Awakening, First Date), Nichole Turner (Broadway: The Book of Mormon), Hannah Corneau (National Tour: Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and many more. The VIP Cocktail Hour at 6:00pm will feature intimate performances of work by George Stiles & Anthony Drewe and Georgia Stitt, followed by a performance featuring work by Kirsten Childs, Itamar Moses and Dick Scanlan.

In a statement, Betsy King Militello, Executive Director of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, said, "Our Gala honorees have each made significant impacts to the musical theater landscape. Marleen & Kenny Alhadeff are dedicated and eloquent ambassadors for the musical theatre field and wonderfully generous supporters of new musical development. NAMT's Festival of New Musicals has proudly called New World Stages home for the last 15 years and they also are the home of Tony Award-winning, Guinness World Record-setting and Pulitzer Prize-earning shows."

The performance at the Gala will feature writers who have had shows presented in NAMT's Festival of New Musicals and have also had a show receive a National Fund for New Musicals Grant when in development at a NAMT Member Theatre. These performances will highlight the artistic impact that NAMT has had on the musical theatre field, by featuring a wide range of highly acclaimed work that has either had its start at the NAMT Festival, or been supported by NAMT through the National Fund for New Musicals, one of NAMT's major granting programs.

Gala proceeds will support NAMT's granting programs, including the National Fund for New Musicals and the Innovation & Exploration Fund.
