On Thursday, May 19th, NAKED GIRLS READING NYC - New York's "Best Story Hour" (The Village Voice Best of NY 2010) - presents an utterly delicious evening of in-the-buff readings in the decadent boudoir setting of Greenwich Village's Madame X lounge, as the hit nude literary salon presents NAKED GIRLS EATING.
Nasty Canasta is joined by burlesque superstars Legs Malone and Darlinda Just Darlinda, plus The Naked Librarian, Barbara Gordon, as they serve up seven courses of full-frontal literature devoted to gastronomic delights. The Naked Girls will share culinary writings, recipes, memoirs, reviews and more; from bread and water to champagne and caviar, from comfort food to adventurous eats, there will be something for all tastes on the menu.
Guests to the salon are invited to relax in the plush velvet upstairs lounge at Madame X and sip a drink (try a "Food P*rn," this month's featured Naked Girls Cocktail!) as Nasty, Legs, Barbara and Darlinda share these mouth-watering writings. $25 reserved seating is limited to 40 (and includes one drink from Madame X's 'Foreplay' menu), with a small number of standing room tickets available at $15 - or tempt an innocent with the "Prix Fixe" package: reserved seating and cocktails for two, for only $40! Purchase tickets in advance at www.NakedGirlsReadingNYC.blogspot.com and transgress as only the Naked Girls can, as NAKED GIRLS READING NYC presents NAKED GIRLS EATING, at Madame X on Thursday May 19th at 8:00pm.
Naked Girls Reading began in Chicago in March 2009 as the creation of international showgirl Michelle L'Amour and Franky Vivid. The idea had rolled around in their heads for a few years in different formats, but with the opening of Studio L'Amour in 2008 it materialized as the perfect intimate live event. Naked Girls Reading now has branches across the country and around the world; the New York chapter, produced by Nasty Canasta of Sweet & Nasty Burlesque, was opened in October 2009 to great acclaim ("Great literature stripped bare" -Entertainment Weekly; "It was a remarkable experience." -Tor.com) and was named "New York's Best Story Hour" by the Village Voice in 2010.
