NahNotOutsideMyHouse! Productions Inc. presents a reading of Charles Messina's new play "An Honest Woman." Joining the stellar cast in this one night only reading is former Sopranos star Jason Cerbone, who played the role of Jackie Aprile Jr. on the hit HBO Series.
Messina's newly revised play tells the tale of the Caponetti family and what happens when the head of the house (Cerbone) is incarcerated. His wife, Rosemarie (played by
Joli Tribuzio), struggles to keep her family together, both financially and emotionally, in her husband's absence, and prevent her son from following in his father's footsteps. Ostensibly, the play is an anti-Mob Wives, as it depicts the reality, heartache, and pain a poor family must endure when a loved one is no longer present and in prison. Rounding out the cast is
Concetta Rose Rella,
Johnny Tammaro,
Michael Townsend Wright and
Michael Barbieri.
Messina has become a strong voice on the NY Theater scene. In addition to directing the long-running hit show The Accidental Pervert, starring
Andrew Goffman, he also has his autobiographical comedy A Room of My Own, starring
Mario Cantone and
Ralph Macchio being developed for Broadway. Messina also penned the upcoming film Monkey's Nest, starring
Mickey Rourke. For more info, please visit
