The New York Musical Theatre Festival presents the world premiere new musical TIME BETWEEN US - a beautifully haunting musical portrait of best friends, passions, and time - with music by Brett Schrier, book and lyrics by Tess Barker and Brett Schrier, and directed by Richard Amelius (Artistic Director of Delaware River Theatre Collective). TIME BETWEEN US is presented as part of the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival and will play at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre (2162 Broadway) in Manhattan beginning September 29 - with only 7 performances available.

Brett Schrier is an accomplished composer, lyricist, and musical director. Brett has written and developed three full-length musicals: "Take Two! The Musical!," "Mr. Popper's Penguins," and "Time Between Us." Brett's recent musical directing/conducting credits include: "I Love You...You're Perfect...Now Change," "42nd Street" (National Tour), "Hairspray" (National Tour), "Les Miserables," "Cats," "Miss Saigon," "The
Will Rogers Follies," "Fiddler On The Roof," "Beauty And The Beast," and "A Chorus Line." His cabaret work and original musical arrangements are continually performed at distinguished New York venues:

The Duplex, and The Knitting Factory. Brett served as Music Director for Broadway In South Africa, and continues to educate young musicians around the globe. He is a proud member of ASCAP, The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
Tess Barker is a playwright based in Los Angeles. Her theatrical work has been staged in cities across the country including: Boston, Los Angeles, and New York - and at prestigious venues including The Groundlings Theater, Hudson Theatricals, and New York Theater Barn (NYTB). Her most recent musical theatre work, "Time Between Us," is currently in development in New York. Tess has also authored a number of original works for the screen, and recently adapted the best-selling novel 'Sold,' as a screenplay, set for production in early 2012. Tess studied theatre at Emerson College and holds a B.A. in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University.
Richard Amelius is currently the founder and Artistic Director of Delaware River Theatre Collective and previously served as Associate Artistic Director at Forestburgh Playhouse and Media Theatre. He has produced work for companies around the country including The
Walt Disney Corporation, The NBA, The MGM Grand, The Garden State Dance Festival, The Carnegie Theatre and The AIDS Coalition. Directing credits include Rent, Hairspray, Hair, Footloose, Cats, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sweet Charity (Barrymore Nom. "Best Choreography") and Cabaret (Barrymore Nom "Best Choreography" and "Best Leading Actor in a Musical" for his portrayal of the Emcee)
