NYC PodFest Announces Lineup For Its 2018 Festival  Image

With one week to go ThisMyShow Industries and Existence Media announce even more exciting talent for NYC PodFest, a celebration of live podcasting from around the world, with 3 days of programming on two stages at the Abrons Arts Center on the Lower East Side from April 6th-8th, 2018. Additional talent added includes, Anthony Atamanuik, Toure', Franchesca Ramsey, Jordan Klepper, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Abbi Crutchfield, and special event An Evening With Alex, Inc.

This year's festival features shows from Earwolf, Forever Dog, Cadence13, Headgum, Westwood One, Smodcast, and UCB Comedy Podcast Network featuring talent from The State, Kids In The Hall, CNN, AMC, Showtime, Comedy Central, Improv Everywhere, CollegeHumor and more!

Highlights Include:

-An Evening with Alex, Inc. NYC PodFest in association with ABC and Sony Pictures Television presents an advance screening and panel for the new series Alex, Inc. Join Cast Member Zach Braff and Gimlet Media founder and host of StartUp, Alex Blumberg in a moderated discussion by current StartUp host Lisa Chow as they take folks behind the scenes of this new comedy premiering March 28th at 8:30|7:30c on ABC. (Made In NY Spotlight Award to Alex Blumberg and Gimlet Media) FREE EVENT

-Little Known Facts w/ Ilana Levine Hosted by stage and film actress, Ilana Levine, each episode is an intimate conversation with today's biggest celebrities from Film, Television and Broadway. This special episode will feature guest Matthew Broderick (The Producers, Ferris Bueller)

-If I Were You. CollegeHumor's Jake & Amir bring their advice podcast to NYC PodFest for the first time. They will be joined by a special guest soon to be announced! (2018 Kevin Allison Excellence In Podcasting Award)

-What Really Happened? With Andrew Jenks. WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? chronicles documentarian Andrew Jenks as he examines and contextualizes famous figures and historical events, while discovering untold stories and unraveling newfound narratives. After topping the iTunes podcast charts, Jenks brings his documentary podcast to NYC PodFest as he does the show live for the first time! What Really Happened? is executive produced by Seven Bucks Productions' Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Brian Gewirtz, Andrew Jenks and Cadence13. (Live Debut)

-Origins. Created and hosted by James Andrew Miller -- the award-winning journalist and best-selling author of books on Saturday Night Live, ESPN, and CAA, the Creative Artist Agency -- will explore the brave beginnings of the worlds of television, movies, sports, music, business, or even human relationships to explain how greatness starts and how critical happenings come to be. -Risk! Kevin Allison's (The State, High Maintenance) true storytelling podcast returns to the festival for its sixth year. This year's live show will take listeners through the process of putting together a Risk! live show from initial pitch to final performance. This live show will feature guest storytellers, Franchesca Ramsey, Mollena Williams-Haas, Gastor Almonte, Michele Carlo and Elna Baker,

-The PodCast For Laundry w/ Brett Davis. A man who loves laundry starts an abrasive and sad niche podcast. Andy Kaufman Award Winner Brett Davis brings us this aggressive, frustrating, brilliant audio project. Joining Brett with be comedy legend and Kids In The Hall member Kevin McDonald. (Live Debut)

-Employee of The Month. A talk show hosted by Catie Lazarus. She interviews phenomenal folks about their careers, be it comedian Jon Stewart or activist Gloria Steinem or the Guinness Book of World Record Holder for Most Guinness Book of World Records. These candid conversations may inspire you to finish your novel or start one or simply self-medicate. This month's show will feature Masha Gessen (columnist for The New Yorker), Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, NBC's The Blacklist), Anthony Atamanuik (The President Show), and Lucy Wainwright Roche.

-Kevin McDonald's Kevin McDonald Show. Kids In The Hall's Kevin McDonald hosts this live variety show podcast featuring sketches, music, and special guests. -Kill Me Now with Judy Gold. Kill Me Now is a weekly podcast hosted by award winning comedian and writer, Judy Gold (Search Party, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt)

-Twinnovation. A podcast for the schemers and dreamers. Identical twins Dave and Jeff Rosenberg, along with host Mike Karnell come up with true hustles and make billions so you don't have to. (NYC Live Debut)

-ViewPoint. Hosted by regular CNN contributor Bakari Sellers, "ViewPoint" adds to the national conversation by introducing listeners to emerging voices of the day on a number of hot button topics ranging from the future of Democratic politics in the South to the role of #blacklivesmatter in the Age of Trump. Past guests have ranged from Paul Finebaum and Johnetta Elzie to Charlamagne the God and Secretary Hillary Clinton. Joining Bakari will be Jordan Klepper, host of Comedy Central's The Opposition (Live Debut)

-Applying It Liberally. Interracial married couple Keisha Zollar (writer for The Opposition) and Andrew Kimler share a fiery liberal bias. But that doesn't stop them from going toe-to-toe as they debate the news of the week. Complete with original sketches, top-notch guests, and a candid autopsy of a modern American marriage. Featuring guests Abbi Crutchfield and Alison KilKenny
