Following the success of the High Bridge Festival, NYC Parks presents Fall Field Day, another fun-filled occasion with something for everyone to enjoy! The event is set for Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Highbridge Park (172nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue) in Manhattan.
This free event will bring out thousands of kids and adults alike to relive some of the classic and nostalgic field day games and races from our school days, while introducing new ones as well. Fall Field Day will feature activities such as javelin (noodle) throw, bubble soccer, hand cycling, disc Tic-Tac-Toe, spoon/egg race, musical beanbag chairs and more.
In the spirit of the season, Parks has partnered with the Lower East Side Ecology Center to promote composting with a pumpkin smash. Parks will also be teaming up with the NYC Campaign Finance Board for election-themed activities. Live entertainment will feature performances by Big Apple Circus and local entertainers.
And bring the kids to meet Snoopy from the Peanuts Movie!
Sponsors of the event include ZTE, The Peanuts Movie, SpotCo, and Big Apple Circus.
