New York City Opera's new initiative for the 2010-2011 Season, the ACT 4 event series will continue on Thursday, November 18, following the 8:00pm performance of Strauss' INTERMEZZO. ACT 4, a new fourth ring cocktail bar and lounge at the David H. Koch Theater, will serve free cocktails and feature a series of guest performers co-curated by The L Magazine. ACT 4 events take place following select City Opera main stage performances. The series will continue during City Opera's Spring season beginning in March with performances by audio/visual artists Jenny Liu and Maria Chavez, and The Secret Science Club.
Active Child is a new project from choirboy-turned-indie pop musician Pat Grossi. Active Child's songs are an intriguing study in contrast, blending Grossi's angelic vocals and the occasional delicate strumming of a harp cast light on the eerie darkness created with the haunting synths and cavernous reverberating of percussion.
