In partnership with the City of New York, the United States Navy and Fleet Week Committee, The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum celebrates the 23rd annual Fleet Week, May 26–May 31, 2010. Fleet Week is America's tribute and "thank you" to the men and women who serve in the armed forces.

Most Fleet Week activities are held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Pier 86 (46 Street and 12 Avenue, Manhattan). Included in the week's festivities are cast performances by 5 new Broadway shows. AMERICAN IDIOT, PROMISES, PROMISES, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, MEMPHIS, and LEND ME A TENOR are the show to be featured on Friday, May 28. 

All events are as follows:

Wednesday, May 26: Watch the parade of ships carrying visiting members of the Armed Forces from Intrepid's flight deck or the end of Pier 86 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.  Military demonstrations will take place on the pier from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  Museum is open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. 

Thursday, May 27: Museum is open from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Friday, May 28: Cast members from current Broadway shows AMERICAN IDIOT, PROMISES, PROMISES, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, MEMPHIS, and LEND ME A TENOR will perform at 2:00 PM. Demonstrations of military skills will take place on the pier from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  Museum is open from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.  At 8:00 PM, the Intrepid Summer Movie Series kicks off its series of free public film screenings on the flight deck with a screening of the classic film Top Gun. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  Visitors are encouraged to bring food and beverages to the screening, however alcohol is not permitted.  

Saturday, May 29: Cast members from the Broadway musical "Wicked" will perform at Noon. Tug of war competitions between groups of visiting marines and sailors will take place from 12:30 PM–2:00 PM. Demonstrations of military skills will take place on the pier from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Museum is open from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Sunday, May 30: Representatives from the Military will compete against each other in inflatable jousting from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Demonstrations of military skills will take place on the pier from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Museum is open from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM. 

Monday, May 31: Memorial Day commemoration ceremony from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. The service will include the unfurling of a 100-foot American flag on Intrepid's flight deck, the playing of Taps, a ceremonial wreath laying, 3-volley rifle salute and a military flyover. Free with price of admission to the museum. Demonstrations of military skills will take place on the pier from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Museum is open from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

In addition, Monday, May 24th through Friday, May 28th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily, an Army LSV-1 boat will be docked on Pier 86 and open for public tours.
