NYC Drone Film Festival to Feature Special Virtual Reality & 360⁰ Events

The New York City Drone Film Festival will feature virtual reality and 360? experiences demonstrating the most exciting technology coming out of the drone world. Youtube sensation Casey Neistat has teamed up with the New York City Drone Film Festival for an epic demonstration on the cutting-edge use of drones that will include a display of the ten-foot-wide drone that Casey flew on in his viral video "Human Flying Drone". Neistat joins moderator Sam Sheffer of Mashable to discuss what went into the epic video where Casey was flown on a drone. The discussion will also focus on drones and 360? past, present, and future.

"Casey has shown the younger generation what an amazing film tool a drone can be," said Randy Scott Slavin, founder and festival director. "In this panel, Casey will talk about drones as a creative tool and give a behind-the-scenes look into one of the world's most viral drone videos."

There will also be virtual reality experiences at the festival and the Day of Drones for audiences to experience virtual reality the way it was meant to be experienced. "We're excited to present a mashup of the two hottest tools for creativity: VR and drones," said Slavin.
