NYC-ARTS Announces Upcoming Offerings

NYC-ARTS provides arts lovers in the tri-state area with an all-access pass to the New York City area's myriad cultural offerings: from music and dance concerts, to the theater, museums and galleries-from the classic to the contemporary.

New York Emmy winners Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn co-host from the Tisch WNET Studios at Lincoln Center.

NYC-ARTS airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on THIRTEEN. Encore presentations will generally follow on Sundays at 12 noon on THIRTEEN; Fridays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. on WLIW; and Sundays at 8:30 p.m. on NJTV. New episodes will also be available on NYC-ARTS.org every Friday morning.

NYC-ARTS #107 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. In the Feature/Profile, we go behind the scenes at the Metropolitan Opera with Maestro Fabio Luisi as he prepares for performances of Wagner's Ring Cycle. The Choice spotlights The Frick Collection's "Renoir, Impressionism and Full-Length Painting." News correspondent Christina Ha, based at the Jewish Museum currently featuring the exhibition "Kehinde Wiley/World Stage: Israel," reports on various events including "Jesus Christ Superstar" at Neil Simon Theater; Sylvie Guillem at the Koch Theater; Cindy Sherman at MoMA; and "The Ungovernables" at the New Museum.

NYC-ARTS #108 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. The Feature/Profile segment focuses on The Emerson String Quartet. The Choice spotlights the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' exhibit, "Star Quality: The World of Noel Coward." At The Whitney Museum of American Art, currently celebrating "The Whitney Biennial, News Correspondent Christina Ha reports on various events around town: "The Steins Collect: Matisse, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant Garde" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; "Gertrude's Paris" at Symphony Space; "Regrets" at the Manhattan Theatre Club; Gotham Chamber Opera's "Il Sogno di Scipione" at Gerard Lynch Theater; Alexander Beller Dances at Joyce Soho; and Walls Speak: The Narrative Art of Hildreth Meiere" at the Museum of Biblical Art.

The Feature/Profile looks at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Education Programs for Young People. The "Choice" segment explores the Museum of Arts & Design's exhibit "Glasstress: New Art from the Venice Biennale at MAD." At The Whitney Museum of American Art, currently celebrating "The Whitney Biennial, News Correspondent Christina Ha reports on various events around town: the Tribeca Film Festival; "Gatz" at The Public Theater; Ballet Hispanico at The Joyce Theater; "Nomads and Networks: The Ancient Art and Culture of Kazakhstan" at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World."

NYC-ARTS #110 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. There will be featured segments focusing on the work of three living American artists: Kiki Smith and her "Visionary Sugar" show at the Neuberger Museum; Kehinde Wiley's "The World Stage: Israel" exhibit at the Jewish Museum; and James Rosenquist "F-111" at MoMA. News correspondent Christina Ha, based at The Guggenheim Museum's "John Chamberlain: Choices" exhibit, reports on various events TBA around town.

NYC-ARTS #111 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. The Feature/Profile is Zahn's interview with baritone Thomas Hampson. The Choice segment spotlights American Folk Art Museum's exhibition "Jubilation|Rumination: Life, Real and Imagined", with a focus on the portrait of David and Catherine Stolp Crane. News correspondent Christina Ha, based at The Guggenheim Museum's "Francesca Woodman" exhibit, reports on various events TBA around town.

NYC-ARTS #112 -- Weekly magazine providing the tri-state audience with a unique overview of the city's unparalleled cultural offerings with co-hosts Philippe de Montebello and Paula Zahn, both 2011 New York Emmy Award winners. The Feature/Profile is Rafael Pi Roman's interview with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jennifer Egan. The Choice segment looks at American Folk Art Museum's exhibition "Jubilation|Rumination: Life, Real and Imagined", with a focus on sculptures made by husband and wife Clarence and Grace Woolsey. News correspondent Christina Ha reports on various events TBA around town from Japan Society.
