About Harlow Marlow Volume 1:

Harlow Marlow Volume 1, released by Bivira Music, is a landmark concept album collaboration joining the artistry of GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award winning pianist, producer, performer, composer and orchestra director, Marlow Rosado with friend, mentor and tropical music icon, Larry Harlow.

While Harlow is regarded as one of the most gifted Latin music pianists of all-time, Rosado undoubtedly forged a reputation as a legendary artist in his own right, having dedicated his life to inspiring audiences both young and mature to the stellar tunes of hard-hitting salsa.

Harlow's dynamic composition complements the polyrhythmic and infectious style of Marlow's colossal force. This is Marlow Rosado's fourth album and first recording with new material in over a decade for Larry Harlow, an epic studio return for this artist who has over fifty records under his belt. The album - with songs written and performed by Rosado and co-produced by both piano kings - is more than just another musical collaboration. It is a passing of the torch from legend to heir.

Larry Harlow, globally coined as "El Judío Maravilloso", is one of the cornerstones of Salsa's history. Harlow , regarded as one of the most gifted and influential Latin music pianists of all-time, received the news about the new album making the #7 spot on Billboard's Tropical Album chart while in Japan for Larry Harlow's Latin Legends of Fania tour at Blue Note Tokyo, a poignant reminder of his contributions in helping globalize the reach of Afro-Cuban clave and revolutionizing the genre of Salsa.

Larry aided the Fania All-Stars super group in shaping their sound, and his appreciation for Latin clave was harnessed by his time studying Afro-Cuban soundscapes in the 1960s on the pre-embargo island. He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions of outstanding artistic significance by The Latin Recording Academy. A legion of salsa authorities including singer Ismael Miranda and Ruben Blades (Fear the Walking Dead) have been tremendously influenced by Harlow's paramount contributions.

The great tres player Arsenio Rodriguez inspired Larry Harlow's musical purpose, resulting in a moving album-length tribute after his passing. Like Larry to Arsenio Rodriguez, Marlow Rosado, is a musical descendant of Larry's influence, a prevalent collaborator, admirer and mentee.

Marlow Rosado has worked with a bevy of artists across genres including the cherished Tejana icon, Selena Quintanilla, megawatt star, Ricky Martin, Songwriters Hall of Fame pillar, Desmond Child, and chart-topping Mexican rocker, Alejandra Guzmán, Puerto Rican Merengue Queen, Olga Tañón, and the Latin Grammy Award winning children's music wiz, Mr. G, among other influential artists.
