Nunsense creator Dan Goggin and Kultur Film and Video today announced the DVD release of "Nunset Boulevard: The Nunsense Hollywood Bowl Show," the latest installment of the international smash hit Nunsense franchise, available today, Tuesday, May 29.  Fifty percent of the proceeds from DVD sales will be donated to The Benedictine Abbey of Regina Laudis to support Mother Dolores Hart and the Benedictines.

The Benedictine Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, Connecticut is home to approximately 40 nuns, including Mother Dolores Hart, a central figure in Nunset Boulevard and the subject of HBO's Academy Award-nominated documentary "God is the Bigger Elvis." Hart saw great success as an actress in Hollywood when she appeared in ten films in five years including her on-screen debut as Elvis Presley's love interest in the 1957 film Loving You.  She has called the monastery home since 1963 when she walked away from the glamour of Hollywood for a life of prayer and contemplation as a postulant. The former brass factory that houses the order, which was established in 1947, needs approximately $4 million dollars worth of renovations to meet fire and safety codes and make much-needed handicap accessibility upgrades.

Mother Dolores was elated when she learned that the abbey would be the beneficiary of half of the DVD proceeds, saying "All of us here at the abbey are truly overwhelmed by this gift.  We cannot thank Danny Goggin enough for his generosity and kindness."

Nunset Boulevard  follows the latest exploits of The Little Sisters of Hoboken, who have been invited to perform at the Hollywood Bowl.  They are thrilled at the prospect until they arrive and realize that they are booked into the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama - a bowling alley with a cabaret lounge - and not the famed "Bowl" they were imagining.  Things do not go as planned, as The Sisters must contend with announcements from the bowling alley public address system as well as the activity on the lanes.  However, The Sisters catch wind of the fact that the movie producer, James Todd, is across the street auditioning for roles in his new movie musical about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun.  The Sisters, thinking they are naturals for parts, race off to audition during their show's intermission.  Will Hoboken lose The Sisters to the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown?

The cast of "Nunset Boulevard: The Nunsense Hollywood Bowl Show" features Bonnie Lee as "Rev. Mother,"Bambi Jones as "Sr. Mary Hubert," Deborah Del Mastro as "Sr. Robert Anne," Jeanne Tinker as "Sr. Mary Paul (Amnesia)," Stephanie Wahl as "Sr. Mary Leo," and Ron Rogell as "Earl-Dean Snedeker."

"Nunset Boulevard: The Nunsense Hollywood Bowl Show" is available on DVD for $19.99 through Kultur Film and Video.  Visit www.kultur.com or call 800-573-3782 to purchase or for more information.
