NEWSIES to Open Super Summer Theatre's 2026 Super Summer Season

Super Summer Theatre has announced its 2026 season of Broadway-style productions presented outdoors under the Nevada night sky at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The 2026 lineup features Disney's Newsies, 1776, The Andrews Brothers, and Come From Away, produced in partnership with acclaimed local production companies.

For more than five decades, Super Summer Theatre has offered audiences a one-of-a-kind experience that blends professional-quality musical theatre with a relaxed, picnic-style evening in the mountains. Guests are invited to arrive early, spread out on the meadow with blankets and low-back chairs, enjoy food and drinks from home or on-site vendors, and then settle in as the sun sets and the show begins on the outdoor stage. The 2026 season continues this tradition with a mix of inspiring, patriotic, and feel-good stories perfect for families, date nights, and groups.

Disney's Newsies

Inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899, Disney's Newsies is a high-energy musical featuring rousing anthems, thrilling choreography, and a cast of determined young “newsies” who take on powerful newspaper publishers to fight for what's right. 1776 brings the story of America's founding to life, following John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and the Continental Congress in the tense, often humorous, and ultimately triumphant days leading to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This Tony Award–winning musical combines wit, drama, and stirring music to explore how messy, human, and hard-won democracy truly is. The Andrews Brothers

The Andrews Brothers is a feel-good, World War II–era musical comedy that follows three stagehands who unexpectedly find themselves stepping into the spotlight when a USO show goes off-script. Come From Away

Come From Away is the moving, true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers whose planes were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, on September 11, 2001, and the small town that welcomed them.
