IT'S A HELLUVA CONTEST!
It's often said that New York City has eight million stories going on at once, well eight times a week the exciting new musical In The Heights brings audiences a vibrant tale about the residents of Manhattan's Washington Heights!
From street smart hip hop to classic salsa and merengue, the music and story pulses with the unmistakable energy of New York City.
But this isn't the first time that a musical has taken NYC as it's inspiration, so together with In The Heights, Broadway World brings you it's "newest" and "yorkest" contest ever! BROADWAY LOVES NYC!
The city that never sleeps has a very long list of songs and shows that call it home, or at least visit it once or twice! Of course we know On The Town, and yes, we've heard a certain redheaded Orphan sing about it in ANNIE, but what we are looking for is the unknown, the rare and of course the MOST Broadway musical knowledge about New York City! So make those lists, search your cast album collection and "take the A train" to test your NYC based Broadway show "skillz" by entering in the most songs and shows about or based upon the five famous boroughs that make up New York City!
The contest will run through April 15th. One Grand Prize winner will win a pair of tickets to In The Heights & a special prize package of 2 signed copies of the show's upcoming double CD and show souvenirs. The First Prize winner will receive a pair of tickets to the show, and 10 lucky runners up will land the In The Heights double CD cast recording.
