NEA Arts Stimulus Expected to Be Unveiled This Week

Details and guidelines for the $50 million arts stimulus package is expected to be announced early this week by the National Endowment for the Arts reports Frank Rizzo on his 'Behind the Curtain' blog spot. the arts stimulus is part of President Obama's overall package passed by Congress.

A good portion of the money is expected to be directed to state arts agencies says Rizzo, to read his view on the pending stimulus click here.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is a United States federally funded and donation assisted program that offers support and funding for projects exhibiting artistic excellence. It was created by an act of the U.S. Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government. Its current chairman is the poet and former CEO Dana Gioia and it has its offices in the Old Post Office building, in Washington, D.C.
