Get ready for Hairspray week on NBC's "Today!"

"Today" will have interviews with cast members all week as they talk about the new film opening on July 20. All Hairspray segments will be sometime in the 8am hour of the show.

The schedule follows:

Monday, July 16th - Queen Latifah (Motormouth Maybelle) is interviewed
Tuesdasy, July 17th - Michelle Pfeiffer (Velma Von Tussle) is interviewed
Wednesday, July 18th - Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, and Elijah Kelly are interviewed
Thursday, July 19th - Christopher Walken (Wilbur Turnblad) is interviewed
Friday, July 20th - The cast of Hairspray performs live on the plaza, and fans are welcome to attend!

Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars newcomer Blonsky as heroine Tracy Turnblad, who helps to integrate a Baltimore dance show and wins the heart of Link Larkin in the process. Hairspray's star-studded cast also features John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, Allison Janney as Prudy Pingleton, Brittany Snow as Amber Von Tussle,  and James Marsden as Corny Collins.

Hairspray is produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who previously broughtChicago to the big screen as an Oscar-winning movie musical.  The film features a screenplay by Leslie Dixon, who adapted it from Thomas Meehan and Mark O'Donnell's original book, as well as a score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who contributed new songs to their existing Tony Award-winning score.
