On February 4th at 7 PM, NBC will air a four-hour marathon of "Grease: You're the One That I Want" shows, consisting of three previous episodes.
During the telecast of the three episodes ("The casting search continues," "Top contenders' intense training" and "The 12 finalists perform"), viewers will be able to continue voting for the two performers who will star as Danny and Sandy in the next Broadway revival of Grease.
No new episode will be shown this Sunday, due to the Super Bowl broadcast. On February 11th, Tony Award-winning composer and producer Andrew Lloyd Webber will join series regulars Kathleen Marshall, David Ian and Jim Jacobs as a guest on the judges' panel. In that episode, two finalists (there are currently fourteen) will be cut as viewer votes are revealed, and the others will perform songs from Broadway shows (with half of the contestants singing Webber tunes).
"You're the One That I Want," co-hosted by Billy Bush and Denise Van Outen, premiered on NBC on January 7th.
The new Broadway production will feature the smash Jacobs/Casey songs made famous by the the original play, including "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightning" and "We Go Together."
"You're the One That We Want" is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. The BBC's Paul Telegdy, Emmy nominated Conrad Green ("Dancing with the Stars") and David Ian are the Executive Producers.
