NBC Cancels Josh Gad's 1600 PENN

According to Variety, NBC has officially canceled the Josh Gad-led comedy 1600 PENN. The series premiered on NBC on January 10, 2013.

The comedy gave a behind-the-scenes look at America's First Family and their lives in the White House. Bill Pullman took on the role of President Dale Gilchrist while Jenna Elfman played his wife Emily. Gad portrayed First Son Skip, described as "one of the administration's biggest liabilities." Guest stars included Broadway's Rory O'Malley.

The actor, who's appeared on Broadway in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, received a 2011 Tony nomination for his role as Elder Cunningham in THE BOOK OF MORMON
