Myth Behavior was announced as the theme for "Broadway Bares 17," which will be presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS at Roseland on June 17th. Stayed tuned for Photo Coverage of the launch event on BroadwayWorld.com!

The theme was announced on Monday, March 13 as part of NextWorks - the monthly gay professionals mixer held at Splash (50 West 17th Street).  Tony Award-nominee Christopher Sieber (Spamalot) was be on hand to host the NextWorks event.

"Broadway Bares" is a fundraising event for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). According to press notes, "the hotly anticipated annual event combines the naughtiness of burlesque and the razzle-dazzle of Broadway and has been a smashing success since its inception. Created by Tony Award-winning choreographer Jerry Mitchell, the event features the hottest male and female dancers on Broadway and has become one of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS' signature events."

Last year's Broadway Bares, which brought in a record-breaking $659,500 for BC/EFA, featured stars such as Sandra Bernhard, Mario Cantone, Cyndi Lauper, Alan Cumming and Fran Drescher.  The show featured an urban theme, and was titled "New York Strip." A cast for "Broadway Bares 17" has not yet been announced.

The First Broadway Bares was presented in 1991 by "Bares" founder Jerry Mitchell and the Broadway company of The Will Rogers Follies at Splash bar. Eight dancers "in rotation" on the bar raised over $8,000. Since then, the event has continuously performed to sell out crowds in some of Manhattan's largest night clubs.

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS is the nation's leading industry-based, not for profit AIDS  fundraising and grant making organization.

Tickets for the 17th Annual Broadway Bares will officially be on sale and can be purchased by going to www.broadwaycares.org.
