Round 12 of 4x15 will feature The Royal Pyrate (book by Chas Libretto, music and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize Nominee Landon Marcus); The Other Direction (book by Andrew Rincon, music and lyrics by Jim Territo); More Than All The World (book, music and lyrics by Erik Ransom); and Aurora (book, music and lyrics by Nick Luckenbaugh).

The Musical Theatre Factory's 4x15 program selects four new musicals monthly and offers each writing team a cast, creative staff and five hours of rehearsal space to stage 15-minute excerpts of their shows. The selections are presented together in one evening before a panel of industry guests and a public audience. This month's industry panel includes Ryan Bogner (Director of Creative Development, RKO Stage), Megan Savage (Commercial Producer, Gentleman's Guide...; Vanya, Sonya...) and Alexis Williams (Literary Agent, Brett Adams Ltd).

In The Royal Pirate, it's 1716 and poor sailor Sam Bellamy just met the woman of his dreams - she's smart, she's political, and she might just be a witch. He says he'll do anything for her - and in doing so becomes the most infamous pirate of his age! But will he change the world for the better or burn it to the ground?
The Other Direction chronicles the formation, rise, and epic fall of the world's biggest (fictional) gay boy band.
More Than All the World is an historical epic which explores the plight of King Edward II, a much-maligned English monarch, whose all-consuming romance with a low-born knight brought his realm to the brink of ruin. Inspired by Christopher Marlowe's "Edward II", "More Than All the World" is a sweeping love story set in a time when so much was different, but the causes and pretexts for Homophobia were very much the same as they are almost 700 years later.
Aurora takes place on a cold winter night when the Northern Lights come to a small New England town, turning the lives of three people upside down and giving them a taste of their deepest desires. But once they've had a taste, can they really return to everyday life after the sky goes dark?

4x15 is presented as part of The Musical Theatre Factory's 2015 summer season. The event will place June 15 at 8pm at 250 West 40th Street (between 7th & 8th Ave), fourth floor. There a $15 suggested donation at the door. $12 advance reservations can be made online at mtf.nyc/events.
