New York, NY

The Museum of the City of New York today announced New York Breakfast, a new tourism program that invites visitors to start their day with the New York breakfast of champions-coffee, a fresh bagel from H&H Midtown Bagels East, and a schmear-and a side of New York City history at the City Museum.

With a City Museum admission ticket, visitors will be treated to a complimentary breakfast and a 20-minute talk about what makes New York tick plus insider tips to know about the Big Apple. The breakfast concludes with an exclusive screening of Timescapes, the City Museum's 22-minute multimedia film that explains how New York became New York, from the Dutch settlement in 1624 to its present status as one of the world's great cities. The New York Breakfast program will begin on Monday, June 16 and will take place daily from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the City Museum, located at the top of Museum Mile, at 1220 Fifth Avenue at 103rd Street in Manhattan.

"Whether you're a first-time visitor or a New Yorker, we invite you to start your day with coffee, an authentic New York bagel, and a side of New York City history," said Susan Henshaw Jones, the Ronay Menschel Director of the City Museum. "There is nothing more 'New York' than a bagel, and that's why we're thrilled to partner with H&H Midtown Bagels East to offer this experience to visitors."
