The Ali Forney Center's (AFC) largest annual fundraising event, "Luscious '07," will be held on Monday, June 11th at 8pm at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher St). This year's headliner is comedienne/musician Lea DeLaria, and additional performers include Wicked's Julie Murney, Trai La Trash, Da Lipstyxx, Mr. Broadway title holder Frankie Grande, Seth Rudesky and Ari Gold. Alan Cumming and Carson Kressley are serving as the honorary co-chairs of "Luscious '07." Following the show, there will by a VIP reception where guests and performers will have the opportunity to mingle.

Press notes state, "The Ali Forney Center is the nation's largest and most comprehensive organization dedicated to homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. This year's event marks the AFC's fifth year of providing programming and support for LGBT homeless youth and will honor the ten year anniversary of their namesake's death," continuing, "The name Luscious pays homage to Ali Forney, the homeless gay youth who was violently killed on the streets of New York City ten years ago; Luscious was his stage name. Found in Ali Forney's memory in 2002, the center has continuously striven to help homeless LGBT youth to be safe, to thrive, to gain self-respect, and to become prepared for successful, independent living.  The Ali Forney Center helps 2,000 people a year with emergency housing, transitional housing, clinical and support services at its day center, and a network of resources throughout New York City."

The center will also show preview clips of a new video pubic service campaign targeting young people who face marginalization because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The campaign builds on the success of last year's multilingual subway and ad campaign targeting parents of LGBT youth.

Tickets will be available at the Lucille Lortel Theatre box office and through Ticket Central. More information can also be found at www.aliforneycenter.org
