PETER BARON (Co-Author, Music, Lyrics) Boomers: The Musical of a Generation, marks Peter's debut in musical theater. Touring the East Coast for two years as a backup band to larger rock acts, he used the experience to enhance his musical and vocal skills as he continued to write and play originals. All this culminated in an album of originals at Columbia Records. It was years later that he realized that his song, "No more football", a major production number on the album, was really the premise for an epic generational musical. Since that revelation, the urgent message of Boomers: The Musical of a Generation has been a driving force.
Having completed a world class run at the prestigious Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, Peter and the team are thrilled to debut Boomers at the Midtown International Theatre Festival.
Peter is also concentrating on the development of his newest musical piece, Brother's Keeper. "Keeper is a music and story driven, four character show. Being a time convoluted mystery-morality play, it is a bit quirky. It shows a ton of respect for an audience's instinct." says Peter. Mark Miville, one of the creative team members, sums up Brother's Keeper as "a great Les Mis episode of Law and Order.
