Morgan James, Beth Malone & More Set for Broadway Sessions Tonight

Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) is the host and creator of BROADWAY SESSIONS at THE MIDTOWN THEATRE at the HA! Comedy Club TC l4 " (163 West 46th Street) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. In addition after the show the microphone is available to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic runs from 12:00 to 2 am.

This Thursday, November 17th, 2011 the weekly show (now in it's 3rd year) welcomes Morgan James, Beth Malone and more.

Morgan James can currently be seen in the new revival of GODSPELL singing "Turn Back O Man". Morgan has also appeared on Broadway in THE ADDAMS FAMILY and WONDERLAND. Morgan has performed as a soloist in Bernsteins Mass with The Baltimore Symphony in famed venues including Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center. A graduate of the world famous Julliard School, Morgan will be offering her first New York City solo concert at Joe's Pub on November 19th. www.morganjames.org.

Beth Malone made her Broadway debut as June Carter Cash in RING OF FIRE. Off-Broadway Malone has starred in THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES and BINGO! THE MUSICAL. Beth can be heard on all 3 cast recordings as well as her solo album "The Lunch Shift" which is available on CDBABY. Why does she look so familiar? Beth has appeared in numerous TV commercials, not to mention whole bunches of regional theater hits. Beth has performed her solo show Beth Malone-SO FAR from LA to NYC and back. Beth will be bringing the hilarious show to Joe's Pub on Monday, November 21st. www.bethmalonesofar.com.

The evening will also feature performances by musical/comedy duo The Parodivas (Jason B Schmidt and Darlene Rae Heller) and singer/actress Molly Hager (Fat Camp)
This week only, audience members are encouraged to bring a food item or dish for a special potluck spread during the show and open mic. Open Mic party goes til 2 am featuring Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Midtown Theater, 163 west 46th street inside the HA! Comedy Club. Doors open at 10:40 pm with showtime at 11pm and musical theater open mic party goes til 2 am. There is NO cover charge.
