More casting has been announced for Acting for a Cure's star-studded benefit concert production of the cult musical classic The Rocky Horror Show on April 16th, 2007 at the American Airlines Theatre, according to the organization's website.
Helson, through her Production Company Acting for a Cure, is the first producer of The Rocky Horror Tribute Show in New York City other than Mr. Richard O'Brien himself. O'Brien revamped the content and first performed this version at The Royal Court Theatre's 50th Anniversary celebration with all proceeds going to Amnesty International.
There are many major national corporate sponsors involved such as JP Morgan and Aveda, and one-hundred percent of the net proceeds from the show will benefit the Louisville and New York City affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Acting for a Cure is a non-profit Production Company founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 2004 for the sole purpose of producing The Rocky Horror Show to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure (formerly the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation). For more than 20 years, Susan G.
